Precision strips and foils

The basis of every successful project in the field of modern technology and advanced manufacturing is the reliability of components, which begins with materials of guaranteed, repeatable quality. In an environment where dimensional tolerances are minimal and mechanical properties must be precisely defined, the accuracy of the steel strips and foils is of key importance. It ensures smooth assembly, long service life, and optimal performance of the final products.
Our offer includes not only laser-cut precision shims, but above all access to top-quality materials, distinguished by exceptional precision and durability — from which we manufacture them. In our continuous stock, directly from the warehouse in Tychy, there are precision strips and foils available with thicknesses from 0.005 mm to 3.00 mm, made of:

  •  1.1274 - hardened carbon steel,
  •  1.4310 - spring stainless steel,
  •  2.0321 - brass.

In addition, other materials are available on request:

  • 1.2003, 1.4034 for production of thicker shims
  • 1.4031, 1.4404, 1.4529, brass and bronze for springs
  • 1.4037, 1.2379 for indicators, machine knives, and small tools
  • 1.4767, 1.4828 for high-temperature-resistant parts
  • 2.4668 (stop 718) for springs resistant up to 600°C
  • 1.4404, 1.4529 for use in corrosive environments
  • copper, bronze, and aluminium for parts with high conductivity

1.1274 - High-carbon spring steel

The 1.1274 material, also known as C100S+QT (formerly Ck101), AISI 1095, ASTM G 10950, EN 95, NF XC 100, and JIS SK 4-CSP, is a high-carbon spring steel containing over 1% carbon. Thanks to its properties, it is ideally suited for producing tapes and gap-measuring shims, as well as highly loaded springs that are not exposed to corrosion.

Mechanical properties:

  • Stan:Condition:  heat-treated (quenched and tempered), martensitic structure
  • Surface:  polished bright (“white”)
  • Tensile strength:  depending on thickness, from 1600–1800 up to 2000–2200 N/mm²
  • Thickness tolerance:  T3
  • Width tolerance:  B2
  • Flatness:  P3 = 0,2% of the tape width

Available sizes:

  • Thickness:  0,02 - 3,0 mm
  • Standard widths:  6; 12,7; 25; 50; 100; 150; 305; 500 mm
  • Edges:  in widths 6 i 12,7 mm the edges are rounded for thicknesses from 0,25 do 2,0 mm, all other sizes have cut edges
  • Lengths:  standard 1; 2; 5 m. Custom lengths from 5 up to 10 000 mm or in coils

For thicknesses from 0.60 to 5.03 mm, we maintain in stock the hardened tool steel 1.2003 (75Cr1).

1.4310 – Austenitic stainless spring steel

The 1.4310 material, also known by the designations X 10CrNi 17-7, AISI 301, ASTM S 30100, EN 301S21, NF Z 12 CN18-09, and JIS SUS 301, is an austenitic stainless steel containing 17% chromium and 7% nickel, which provides it good corrosion resistance. The high strength of this material is achieved through cold rolling. Compared to the 1.4301 grade, 1.4310 achieves a much higher tensile strength, exceeding 2000 N/mm², making it ideal for the production of precision tape and gap-measuring shims from stainless steel, as well as springs and parts requiring higher strength.

Mechanical properties:

  • Condition:  cold-rolled (austenitic and partially martensitic structure), non-hardenable
  • Surface:  2H, Ra maximum 0,3 µm 
  • Tensile strength:  from 1100 to over 2000 N/mm²
  • Thickness tolerance:  DIN EN 9445 Table 1 or T3 
  • Width tolerance:  according to DIN EN 9445
  • Flatness:  maximum wave height of 1,0 mm

  • Edges:  cut
  • Standard lengths:  1; 2; 5 m

2.0321 – Cold-rolled brass

The 2.0321 material, with a composition of 63% copper and 37% zinc, is a standard grade of spring brass, cold-rolled, used for the production of leaf (piano) springs, connectors, and stamped parts. This material is non-magnetic.

Mechanical properties:

  • Condition:  cold-rolled, non-hardenable
  • Tensile strength:  370 - 650 N/mm² ((depending on thickness)
  • Yield strength:  Rp0,2: >500 N/mm² przy R550
  • Thickness tolerance:  T3
  • Width tolerance:  DIN EN 1791
  • Flatness: DIN EN 1791

  • Standard widths:  150,0 i 305 mm
